IAG

Insurance Australia Group (IAG), Australia’s largest insurer, developed a new Workplace Guideline to recognise the dynamic and hybrid working patterns of their staff.

With drawing people into the office serving as the key design strategy underpinning the project, Acuity helped IAG to complete their workplace while still operational during the pandemic. The workplaces included were Adelaide, Perth, Brisbane and Melbourne.

The challenge

Acuity was engaged by IAG to provide a full suite of governance, design, procurement and construction project management services. Acuity developed a program of works and Workplace Guidelines following a detailed engagement process of over 8,000 staff across 7 locations. Stakeholder engagement, risk management and overall governance was of paramount importance to deliver the projects to meet the Workplace Guidelines, design brief and program and budget requirements.

Our solution

Acuity were proud to be engaged to deliver this incredible workplace by providing a full suite of design, procurement and construction project management services, which included procurement and oversight of the design team, as well as managing the contractor on site and handing over to the client.

IAG has successfully delivered all four major office projects. The office now reflects the future of the post-pandemic workplace with different types of work settings and a marketplace, along with state-of-the-art collaboration and meeting areas to bring staff together. In recognition of the constantly evolving landscape of ‘work’, the business took a ‘test and learn’ approach to these projects, capturing lessons learned to support ongoing iteration of IAG’s workplace environments across Australia.
