St John of God Health Care (SJOG) are one of Australia’s largest private hospital operators and the country’s biggest Catholic not-for-profit hospital operator.

We were engaged to assist SJOG with the relocation of their Perth headquarters to their new home at Kings Square, 556 Wellington Street in Perth. The project scope included a full new fitout inclusive of interconnecting stairs between three floors. Cost Management was a key project driver, with SJOG striving for a cost-effective quality solution.

Challenge

Our team were challenged by SJOG in achieving the highest quality outcomes possible, with the fixed available budget. In addition to sharp cost objectives, SJOG’s programme targets required accelerated Head Contractor procurement and construction phase durations, while adhering to SJOG’s procurement protocols.

Our Solution

Through rigorous briefing and project initiation, our team established a tailored delivery solution that achieved SJOG’s project objectives. Dawn Projects were successfully appointed through a traditional Head Contractor tender. Our team worked closely with SJOG, Dawn and the Landlord to establish a construction delivery programme that prioritised the internal stair void creation and stair construction concurrently with the fiotout works
