Zurich

As part of Zurich’s new way of working initiative, Zurich embarked on a journey to consolidate multiple part of their organisation who into the one new space located at 118 Mount Street, North Sydney with a new dynamic way of working.

As part of the consolidation, Zurich demolished their existing 6-storey building, to create a new 20,000m2 PCA A-Grade Building consisting of 29 floors, a 2-level podium with café and sky terrace.

The challenge

There were a number of challengers presented as part
of this project:

  • Maintaining overall program during the COVID-19 pandemic and incorporating design changes to accommodate the post-pandemic landscape
  • Stakeholder management and integration with IT
  • Delivering within cost constraints while maintaining quality outcomes
  • Tier 1 builder appointed, Roberts Co was a new firm to the market and was their first integrated fit out project

Our solution

Our experience with integrated fit out projects, meant that we were able to successfully deliver the project within the cost constraints whilst maintaining the quality outcomes. This was highly beneficial as we closely tracked the progress of the base building to ensure that the works would be completed within the time constraints given that Zurich had multiple leases in other buildings that were due to expire, and the result was that Zurich were able to co-locate the multiple parts of their business into their new office with their new dynamic ways of working.
