Colin Biggers & Paisley

CBP initially engaged Acuity to provide support during the due diligence and search phase for its Premises requirements in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.

The outcomes of this work saw Acuity’s scope extended to deliver Project Management Services for CBP’s new fitout in Brisbane and refurbishment of existing offices in Sydney and Melbourne.

The project objectives will enable CBP to:

  • Create a reinvigorated workplace and client experience
  • Be more flexible, agile and employee centric
  • Embrace opportunities for changes in the way of work, information and storage management and the implementation and use of technology

The CBP offices generally include front of house meeting spaces, commercial kitchens, Partner offices, open plan workstations and expansive social hubs with connection via inter-tenancy stairs.

The challenge

Each site has unique accommodation pressures, which has required the Project team to work diligently within existing leasing constraints; while managing client expectations on scope to align with budgets and program. With Melbourne and Sydney being refurbishments, the reuse of existing built form identified challenging non-compliances the project team had to resolve to ensure the best possible outcome.

Our solution

Acuity undertook a Preferred Tenderer (Early Contractor Involvement) tender to ensure the entire consultant and construction team were able to work together from early in the design to mitigate design, program and budget risks.
